Alpha is committed to supporting adults to lead active and fulfilling lives in their community. Alpha Resource Center provides day services for individuals 22 years of age and older. Each participant, and people important in their lives, is actively involved in setting his or her own goals. Skill development is achieved through utilization of individual areas of interest. Day to day activities are guided by individual goals; opportunities include:
Community Volunteers
Santa Barbara Zoo, Meals on Wheels, Food from the Heart and others
Community Fitness
Participants utilize the YMCA, Hearts Adaptive Riding, Swim and others
Work Opportunities
Landscape Crew, Food Service and Alpha Thrift Stores
Continuing Education Classes
Participants are supported in the participation in Adult Education classes
Creative Arts
Art Studio, Ceramics, Performing Arts
Community Access
Shopping (money management), exploration, beach and parks, and others
Social Opportunities
